Refunds

This was posed in the comments section. And what a great question to ask.
With these uncertain times it is hard to take a gamble on travelling. Not knowing if you can enter or leave a country. This did happen to me last year. I went to QLD to visit my girls and as soon as I left, they closed the borders. The feelings of uncertainty were huge. Not knowing what would happen, if I would make it back home, was I stuck there. How was I going to live there as my accommodation was only booked for so long?
Luckily the borders opened in time for me to return. I had a plan though. That is the secret for situations like this. Have a plan.

The Bali adventure also has a plan. Most travel insurance cover for cases such as this. Therefore, insurance is vital so don’t travel without it. The accommodation that is booked is free cancellation until the day before you arrive. So if you cancel you will get a full refund of the accommodation. The games fees are price per day so if you don’t attend the event at all, you will get a full refund. All other activities are included with the cost of the game and accommodations. So to sum up. If you don’t attend, you will get a full refund. You can book with confidence that there is a 100% refund guarantee.

Remember flights are your responsibility so make sure you arrive prior to the first day so you can attend the initial event and safety briefing. Some scenarios would not get a refund such as sleeping late, being hungover, cant be bothered. We are there to play and don’t forget that there is a whole rest day programmed in.

Plane flights are a different story. Travel insurance does not cover border closures. That puts up a roadblock. Airlines do have different rules with their tickets. For example, you can get a basic ticket for the cheapest price which is great, or you could get a slightly more expensive ticket that includes date and time changes. The price difference varies from around $50. And with this comes some bonus perks such as extra baggage, seat selection and some include a meal as well.
As well as reading your insurance PDS read your ticket rules as well.
